I’ve seen quite a lot of Angel lane Surgery and they’ve been wonderful! I hurt my leg which needed dressing regularly and my wife had breast cancer and the diagnosis and treatment was brilliant. Everyone from reception staff to dispensary staff all bright and efficient! Doctors are there when needed too, seem to have time for you when you know they are at full stretch!

Poor practice in this surgery, i would not recommend it, anything you ask they fob you off to the website, the receptionist think their doctors, trying to medically advise, appointments are a myth

I call them to book appointment lady told me because I didn't visit them for 13 years they trash my record card and I'm not longer with them and told me to look for GP nearby places where I live and I did but been told it takes up to 5 days to be registered again. So I rang them again and another person told me then I widraw my card 10 year ago and I'm not longer with them. 18 years paying ni in this country and in the end nothing we can do for you . Anything else I can help you with today no good bay. Rspca look better after animals then Agel Lane after patients. Sad but true.

The surgery went out of its way to see me on the day today after a quick and efficient pre-consultation exchange by phone and online. Currently the staff are as friendly and efficient as they have ever been during my years in this town. Thank you.

The three doctors I've seen at this surgery have been wonderful. Warm, polite and caring. On every occasion they have listened to my issues, taken me seriously, and given me clear and helpful advice allowing me to make informed decisions as to the path I wish to take. I take comfort in knowing when I attend this surgery, that is the level of care I'll receive. I will agree with some of the other reviews saying the wait time can be quite long - around 5-6 weeks for a non-urgent pre-booked GP appointment. But for non-urgent issues I'm happy to wait rather than take up an on-the-day appointment.

Myself and my family have been patients at Angel Lane since August 2019. We have been fortunate only to have had to visit a handful of times. My most recent visit seen by Dr Linn, together with a trainee Dr? Both were amazing, helpful and very thorough. Later on the same day I saw a HCA who again was amazing! Well done Angel Lane! 🙂

Contrary to other reviews on here, I can only emphasise what a fantastic local surgery Angel Lane is. I have been a patient here now since 2007, and in this time have had, and continue to have, wonderful Doctor's/Nurses, and fantastic reception and dispensary staff. So friendly, knowledgeable and polite. Of course you may have to wait on the phone, those who think you will get through immediately, are obviously misinformed, and inexperienced in life, bless them. The end result however, once you do, and you will, is consummately professional, and always conveys a duty of care and empathy to the individual/patient. Keep up the fantastic work Angel Lane. ❤

I’ve been with Angel Lane for a year now and it’s the worst surgery I’ve ever been with. Similar to what other people wrote I found it impossible to get an emergency appointment on the same day. I’ve been consistently turned away even when I started calling at 8 am. The worst experience was when they turned me away at 40 weeks pregnant with severe hip pain. Reception staff was very rude and indicated that it was just my problem and had nothing to do with the baby despite not being medical professionals. Felt completely left alone, helpless and powerless. Very unfortunate that there are not many alternatives around, otherwise I would’ve left a long time ago.

in the past I believe things were better. I definitely don't recall having to wait over an hour when I start calling at 8am to get a appointment. I dont know if they are just under too much pressure but surely there's a better system they can implement to answer calls and pass them on. i am on the phone calling them as I am typing this, 50 mins spent with the first bit of hold music, another 35mins spent with one other person waiting to connect. and I am still waiting because I need a doctor to prescribe antibiotics for a chest infection and sinusitis. and since its after 9am chances are I won't get an appointment even if I get through. please improve the phone waiting times. the rating would be higher if I didn't have to wait so long to get through to someone Update : on hold for 2hours near to the 2hour point I was first in the queue, soon as it hit 10am the call was cut off. really disappointed and annoyed.

Appalling service, incompetent and rude staff that show now respect or care for anyone. You spend 1 hour waiting for someone to answer the phone to then be told that it is what is and they can't do anything to help you. The answer is always the same, no appointments, not enough staff, we can't do anything, we have the same problem with management here, they don't let us take time off to go to the doctors so you have to deal with it. You tell them you're having suicidal thoughts because of their obsolete system you can't get a repeat prescription and all they say is they've done what they could and you have to call a different line. Hope you all have a lovely Christmas with the conscious that someone won't be here because of you're incompetence and lack of care.
