Mum lived at Redbond Lodge for five years. Failing memory and a robust independence made her difficult to care for, but nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful team at the home. We would take her out every week which she loved, but she was always happy to get back home. The past months have been challenging for all of us but everyone at Redbond has gone over and above to ensure the safety and happiness of all the residents. We will forever remember the kindness and personal support that Mum received and cannot recommend Redbond Lodge, Manager Sue King and all the staff more highly.

I know this place very well and I would not leave anyone there. Apart from the low wages for employees and the horrendous hours, the residents are not well cared for and very few of the staff are trained properly. The owner just wants money and has no intention of making sure the staff are actually living up to the duty of care. I wouldn't let them care for a cat.

Redbond Lodge looked after my partner's grandfather with care and compassion for several years. The staff are so caring, to the residents and visitors, the home is always clean, and any problems with the residents are reported to family really swiftly. The building is warm and has comfortable living areas and reasonably sized bedrooms, it's also arranged in a "doughnut" or "courtyard" configuration which is good when you're confused where to go, keep turning left and you'll get there eventually! Visiting hours are very flexible and we were never turned away, even when we arrived pretty late in the day due to bad traffic. The staff also never made us feel we were in the way or interfering with their schedule and they always had time for our questions and request. My sincere thanks to the staff, they are incredible.

My lovely mother in law Dolly has been residing at redbond lodge for over 2 years now , she has been in a couple of homes in the surrounding area, but when we came to check this home out, we noticed how nice clean and calming it was , and it hasn’t changed since. The staff are lovely and patient, and they all make a fuss of Dolly and she has a wonderful relationship with them. I would totally recommend this home. By the way Dolly has vuscular dementia. Well done Redbond 👏👏 Anita and Gary miller

I’m a granddaughter or a resident here, I honestly can’t thank them enough for what they have done and helped my grandma, there all so friendly, helpful, supportive, kind, polite, caring, to be honest amazing! What we all don’t see on TV is the good things and how well they are at coping and dealing so well with elderly it’s not easy! I would recommend this care home 100% it’s so clean! Thank you all to the staff, Rachel xx
