Took my very poorly cat to Apollo. Even though they were quick they completely misdiagnosed. Had the vet properly looked in my cats mouth she would have seen that she'd eaten cotton. Had to take her to another vets where they instantly saw the problem and operated immediately.

Phoned the vets at short notice as we had a concern for our dog, and they gave me an appointment straight away. Staff always seem happy and welcoming and are all good listeners. We've only used this vets since our dog was a puppy and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Big thankyou to Anna for checking Mustard over and reassuring us, your a star.

We've been using Apollo in Dunmow for years with our English bulldog and Shih Tzu. All of the receptionists are so friendly, helpful and always very welcoming. Every veterinary surgeon we've dealt with over the years has also been amazing and treat our pets in the way you'd want, with care and love

This Vets has two younger receptionists and a fabulous welcoming friendly Vet that you can not fault but the older woman receptionist is extremely sarcastic, rolling eyes and tutting at me. I don’t appreciate the sarcastic unkind manor she gives. Her people skills are absolutely awful! I understand the tablet was not ready but the sarcasm and nasty tone was not needed! Nor the “Oh Well” and shoulder shrugging. Especially with how difficult life is at the moment. Like I told her perhaps she should look in the mirror and see how her manor comes across I’m not impressed it’s a shame a fabulous Vets can be let down by one female who clearly doesn’t want to be doing that job. Absolutely shocked could see her glaring when I pulled up in the carpark and drove past the glass front of shop clearly not happy that no Vet in until next week. She is not fit for that role please send her on people management skills course! Such a shame as like I have stated above the other receptionists and Vet is so welcoming and kind and extremely caring!! When you work in any retail you put a friendly face on and get on with it. Please do the correct thing and apologise it’s really not acceptable or fair for a client to be made to feel so unwelcome and disheartened by this practice. I would like an apology and I would also like someone to not phone me up and made to feel like the receptionists side had been taken and to stay impartial and making me feel like a liar! . What do I have to gain from this? Nothing. I’m sorry she feels upset but what about how she upset me? In all my years I have never experienced such unwelcoming behaviour. I have Vet friends in other counties and they would not allow a receptionist to speak and act towards a client that way. I apologise to the receptionist for telling her to work with dead people as her people management skills are atrocious but many people are close to going over the edge at the moment and to have a person tutting and eye rolling at you and speaking in such a sarcastic manor is really not acceptable. It’s rather degrading to be made to feel like you are a piece of rubbish. Don’t let this practice down by allowing talking to clients in that bad way. Your Vet works extremely hard and offers a lot and it will be sad not to continue at this practice. Any further correspondence I require in written format. We all know Vets have a hard time at the moment and with high suicide rates but what about the clients that are mistreated too? Please stay impartial here and be fair. Once I receive a written apology I will delete my review and apologise myself.

Very polite, helpful and friendly staff. Always greeted with a smile. Vets and nurses are very good and I'm very happy that my cat is safe in their capable hands. Would highly recommend these vets

Dunmow vets employees are the best!! I have been going there for 5.5 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. The reception staff and vet nurses are knowledgeable, super friendly and kind. The service they give is so personable unlike others I have been too. Great to have such a great rapport! Vets have always been great there too! I have very happy Shih Tzu puppies and a British Bulldog. Thank you xx

Fantastic service. Very understanding of my nervous German Shepherd. They gave us the last appointment of the day, let us come through the back door, let me feed her treats to make the experience a bit better for her, checked her over in the waiting area and did not rush her. They listened to what I had to say about her (first time at this vets). Kind, considerate and understanding. I highly recommend - especially if you have an anxious or very young dog.
